What is the Private Area?
The Private Area, is a service owned by the Generalitat de Catalunya (NIF S-0811001-G) that facilitates citizens’ interaction with the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya from a single point of access. Through the platform, you can access:
- Procedures and transactions
- The contact inbox
- Face-to-face appointments
- Notifications
- Subscriptions to personalised alerts
- Consultation and management of personal data and documents.
Use and access to the Private Area
No registration is required to access to Private Area. You simply need to identify yourself with a digital certificate or an accepted PIN system with prior registration (idCAT Mòbil, idCAT Certificat, Cl@ve, etc.). The use of this service is free, open and voluntary.
Security and privacy
The security measures adopted align with those established in annex II (“Security measures”) of Royal Decree 311/2022, of May 3, which regulates the National Security Framework, and in the Cybersecurity Framework for Data Protection of the Government of Catalonia (MCPD).
Responsibility and obligations
The Private Area undertakes to offer a service of the highest quality, to avoid errors and, should they occur, to fix or update them as soon as possible. Users accept that the service may be interrupted for maintenance work, which will last as long as is necessary and essential.
Users are responsible for the accuracy and updating of the personal information provided through the Private Area obtained from different ministries, from the public sector of the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya and from other government agencies.
At any time, and without prior notice, this service may be modified and the terms of access or use may be changed, provided that the possible change does not affect the principles and rights of personal data protection.
Users of the Private Area undertake to:
- Maintain custody of access information through the corresponding digital identification system.
- Make good use of the contents obtained through the Private Area, in accordance with the Law, good faith and generally accepted good practices.
- Be responsible for the use of services.

The Private Area includes links to websites of other government agencies and institutions to offer more personalised information. Please refer to the privacy policies and terms of use of these other websites.
Portals and websites that link to the Private Area must take into account that:
This does not imply the existence of a relationship between the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the owner of the link, nor the acceptance and approval of its contents and services.
No false, incorrect or inaccurate statements or references may be made about the pages and services offered by the Private Area.
It is explicitly forbidden to create any kind of browser, programme, browser or border environment on the pages of the Private Area.
Browsers, cookies and JavaScript
For security reasons, the owner of the Private Area only guarantees its correct functioning in HTML5-compatible browsers with the versions currently supported by their manufacturers.
The use of unsupported browsers may affect the display of content or the availability of some features. Browser updates can be downloaded from the websites of the software providers.
JavaScript must be enabled for the service to function correctly.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with Spanish and Catalan law. The owner and the users, renouncing any other jurisdiction, submit to the courts and tribunals of the city of Barcelona.
