What do you need to know?
This is a program for practicing Catalan through conversation, aimed at persons aged over 18. It works by creating language pairs, made up of a volunteer and a learner. Voluntariat per la llengua (VxL) offers two options: in-person (the pairs meet at a place they agree upon) and online (the pairs practice using video calls). The minimum commitment is 10 hours. We recommend an hour a week for 10 weeks.
VxL is a program promoted and directed by the Ministry of Language Policy and managed by the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística.
Two different types of people:
• Volunteer: Someone aged over 18 who speaks fluent Catalan.
• Learner: Someone over 18 who has a basic knowledge of the language and wants to practice in order to speak more fluently.
It is possible to register at any time.
There are no fees associated with this procedure.
