Sign up

Signing up for one or more newsletters should be managed through the Gencat Newsletters subscription service.

Log on to the website http://butlletins.gencat.cat and select the newsletters you would like to receive. 

• If you have never subscribed to a newsletter from the Government of Catalonia, complete the subscription form with the required details, accept the legal terms and conditions and click on OK.
  The Gencat Newsletter service requires you to give your express authorisation before activating your registered user account. This security measure is to avoid another person signing you up without your consent.
  The system will send you an email asking you to confirm that you wish to subscribe to the Gencat Newsletter service. In the message you will find a link; click on this link to confirm your registration.
  By giving your consent, it will be understood that you agree to receive e-newsletters on a regular basis and that your personal details will be collected and processed in an automated file, which you will be informed of at the time you sign up. 
  If the email address you inform when you sign up, it is no longer active, we will unsubscribe you from the database.

• If you are already a user of the Gencat Newsletter service, go to the Start Session button in the upper right-hand side of the page. If you cannot remember your password, click on I have forgotten my password. Once you have identified yourself, you will find the newsletters for which you have subscribed in the tab My subscriptions. If you are interested in signing up for other newsletters, you can do so in the tab Subscribe to more newsletters.

If you have not received the confirmation email:

• Check to see if it has gone straight to your Spam folder.
• You might have entered your email wrongly when you completed the form. Go back and try to subscribe again. If it works, it means you must have given the wrong email.

If you have received the email but not confirmed your registration, the account will remain inactive until you have completed the process. If you do not confirm your subscription the process will not be completed, and after 10 days, in accordance with the Spanish Law on Data Protection (LOPD), your data will be deleted from the automated personal data file.

Should you finally decide not to activate your account and you would prefer your data to be removed from the file, you will need to write to the organisation responsible, the Directorate General for Digital Services and Experience, at Via Laietana, 14, 3r, 08003 Barcelona, in order to exercise your right to access, rectify, cancel or oppose the use of this data.
